best proposal ever theatre.

Hello, friends…

Yesterday, my parents celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary.

They had dated for 10 years.

My father proposed to my mother by shouting out from the washroom if she wanted to get married the following week… here now is “Best Proposal Ever Theatre”…

(opening music) (lights)

ELIZABETH preps for her day in the other room.

RICHARD, in the washroom, shouts out to her.

Richard: “Hey Liz, what are you doing next weekend?”

Elizabeth: “Um, not much. Why?”

Richard: “You think you want to get married?”

Elizabeth drops what she’s doing. She is in shock. (*not sure if the shock was from the question asked or the manner in which it was asked… but whatever.)

Elizabeth: “Uh, sure!”

(end of scene)

… that was 38 years ago. They have now been together for 48 years. This is the best proposal ever.
